Crews work to fix gas leak on Ninth Street in Columbia
Firefighters responded to a gas leak on Ninth Street at about 9:30 Thursday morning.
Crews on scene would not comment on the leak but the owner of Shakespeare’s, which is under construction in the building on the corner of Ninth, said crews hit a gas line and had to work to turn it off.
Ninth Street continues to be shut down as crews fix the leak right outside the Missouri Theater.
No word yet on which construction project the leak was a part of at this time. ABC17 News is putting in calls to Ameren to find out more information at this time.
