Former Trump rival Ted Cruz among those set to speak at RNC Wednesday

Some highly anticipated speakers are scheduled to take the stage Wednesday at the Republican National Convention.

Day three of the RNC is themed “Make America First Again.” The theme comes from the GOP’s claims that years of bad policies and poor leadership has weakened America’s position in the world.

Team Trump says with Trump as President, America will once again be a beacon of progress and opportunity.

Among the speakers lined up for Wednesday is U.S. Senator Ted Cruz. You’ll recall Cruz ran against Trump in the primary race before dropping out in Mayafter losing big in the Indiana primary.

In his final days of the primary race, Cruz accused the New York billionaire of being as a “serial philanderer,” “pathological liar” and “narcissist.”

The two then apparently met up back in July where Cruz agreed to speak at the RNC.

A senior Trump campaign official says that when Trump and Cruz agreed to no longer work against each other and would work together on policy issues where they share common ground.

It’s unclear if Cruz will offer a formal endorsement for Trump Wednesday.

Other notable speakers include former speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, along with his wife, Callista.

Trump’s VP pickMike Pence is also set to talk and U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, who also ran against Trump in the GOP primary.
