Controversial Administrative Hearing commissioner replaced

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Gov. Mike Parson has replaced a member of a state commission who was embroiled in a controversy in 2019 over laws governing sexual assault on college campuses. Audrey McIntosh served in a judicial post on the Administrative Hearing Commission. Two years ago, McIntosh’s husband, lobbyist Richard McIntosh, worked to change a state law that would have allowed college students accused of sexual assault to transfer their cases to the commission. The change was proposed after the couple’s son was expelled from Washington University. Katie Jo Wheeler, a recent deputy director for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, will replace McIntosh on the commission.
