Walk to Vote held in Jefferson City

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Walk to Vote was held Saturday in Jefferson City at Community Park ahead of the Nov. 2 election.

The Jefferson City community was invited to put on their costumes, and join the groups to trick or treat and Walk to Vote in order to raise awareness and support voting in Tuesday's election and future elections.

Community members were asked to join the Jefferson City NAACP in partnership with Building Community Bridges, Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of JC, Jefferson City Faith Voices and JC Parks and Recreation for this event.

Organizer Julie Allen said, “We are excited about answering voting questions and registering people to vote. Our vote strengthens our democracy”.
