Mizzou hosts 2021 SEC cross country championships

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou hosted the 2021 SEC cross country championships at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course for the very first time on Friday.

The MU men's team finished in third place after totaling its best team score in eight years. Marquette Wilhite led the Tigers with a ninth place finish.

Meanwhile, the women's team finished in seventh place. MU's Sarah Chapman had the best finish for the Tigers. Her time of 21:01.3 was good enough for 24th place.
