KMIZ

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A 20-year-old Kansas City man pleaded guilty this week in the shooting death of another man. The Jackson County Prosecutor says Thorne McKendrick pleaded guilty Monday to second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the death of Michael Brown. Police say Brown was killed outside an east Kansas City home on Aug. 1, 2020. Court documents say security video showed McKendrick shot Brown as the two men struggled over a gun. McKendrick’s sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 28.
