Man pleads guilty to October 2015 home invasion

A man has pleaded guilty to charges filed after a home invasion in Columbia last October.

Isaiah Anderson, 19, broke into a home on Parkside Drive, where police say he hit one of the residents on the head with a gun. However, the people in the home were able to pin Anderson and hold him until police arrived.

A second person was also suspected of breaking into the home with Anderson. It’s unknown if that person was ever arrested.

Anderson was charged with burglary, unlawful use of a weapon, and receiving stolen property. He pleaded guilty to the charges on Monday, and was sentenced to five years in prison. Anderson will get some credit for time served.
