One person injured in Callaway County shooting
CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
Callaway County deputies arrested a man after a shooting that injured one person Friday afternoon.
According to the Callaway County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to reports of shots fired at 2:43 p.m. on County Road 256.
According to the press release, deputies were told shots had been fired and someone had been struck. Investigators said the victim received a non-life threatening injury.
Deputies identified the suspect as Jerren Harris, 26, of Fulton. Prior to deputies arrival, Harris had fled the scene.
Deputies found Harris hiding at a nearby location after 3:30 p.m. and he was taken into custody.
Authorities said prosecutors charged Harris Saturday with two counts of felony unlawful use of a weapon and domestic assault. Harris is being held without bond in the Callaway County Jail, pending bond review.
Authorities said that the investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible.
