Deputies arrest man after six-hour standoff

Deputies arrested a man Friday afternoon after a six-hour long standoff.

They were called to a home on Happy Hollow Road just before 7 a.m. for a reported domestic assault.

Deputies say the victim escaped the home and i dentified the suspect as Travis Dale, who was still inside.

They made several attempts to contact Dale inside the home, but he refused to speak with deputies or come out of the house. Eventually, he surrendered around 1:30 p.m. Deputies say Dale was also the suspect in a different standoff back in February.

Dale is being held without bond and is set to appear before the Camden County Court on May 10th.

The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated and evaluated.
