Heavy rain, possible flooding this week

Periods of showers and t-storms will move through Mid-Missouri through Saturday, bringing heavy rain. Areas south of HWY 54 will see the highest amounts of rain with 3-6″ possible. Flash flooding is possible during periods of heaviest rainfall.

The first wave of showers and t-storms will move through Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday night. Most areas in Mid-Missouri will pick up a quarter to half inch of rain Tuesday evening while areas along and south of I-44 will see higher amounts of near an inch Tuesday night.

Another wave of showers and t-storms will develop from late morning Wednesday near I-44 and move to the north-northeast through the afternoon, affecting most of Mid-Missouri. Storms with heavy rain are likely from 4 PM to midnight along and south of HWY 54 and flash flooding will be possible.
