Two men taken into police custody after reports of a possible burglary

Two men were seen taken out of a home in handcuffs in a Columbia neighborhood Wednesday morning.

Columbia Police on the scene told ABC 17 News that they were taking the suspects into custody for questioning.

Police, deputies and a K9 were searching for two suspects after an alarm went off at a Columbia home in the 1100 block of Larail Dr.

ABC 17 crews on scene say the two men were taken from the home at 1108 Northshore Drive, which is next to Larail. The suspects taken into custody appear to be in their late teens or early 20s, and one of them was not wearing shoes. We do not know how the suspects are connected to the home where they exited in handcuffs yet.

ABC 17 talked to a sergeant on the scene. He tells us they were initially called for an alarm that went off in a house in the neighborhood. The sergeant also says a couple cars were broken into. Police apparently caught the suspects in the act, who then led police on a short foot chase.
