Man arrested in connection to November Columbia robbery

A man was arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection to a November robbery with a gun.

Romell Rainey, 21, was arrested on Aspen Heights Parkway for a felony warrant for burglary and armed criminal action charges.

Rainey was wanted for a robbery with a gun in the 5000 block of Tessa Way on November 10, 2015.

A man was sleeping when Rainey broke in through a back door. The man tried to stop Rainey, and they got into a fight. Rainey then pointed a gun at the victim, and fled the area. A warrant was then issued for Rainey.

The victim had scratch marks from the fight with Rainey.

Police arrested Rainey yesterday in the 3700 block of Aspen Heights Parkway. He has since bonded out.
