Train catches fire in Osage County

Crews responded to a locomotive fire that ruined the rear end of the train in Osage County Tuesday morning.

Officials with the Osage County Fire Protection District say a Union Pacific coal train caught fire around 8 a.m. as it was heading through Jefferson City.

The Linn Fire Department asked Osage County for help putting out the fire.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
