Fulton police arrest St. Louis man after brief chase

Fulton police arrested a man Monday night following a brief chase.

Anthony Cole, a 34-year-old from St. Louis, was arrested for drug possession, resisting arrest and careless driving shortly after 10:30 p.m.

Cole was arrested after police responded to a suspicious vehicle on Dunham Drive near Westminster Avenue. They were told there was a black Dode pickup and another silver car with people inside each car. Officers found the Dodge pickup and tried to investigate, but the driver, Cole, drove off.

During the chase, a white powdered substance was thrown out of the truck. The pursuit ended on County Road 203 in Callaway County.

Cole’s bond is set at $59,650. He is facing charges for possession with intent to distribute, felony driving while revoked, felony resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless and imprudent driving.
