Tracking a chilly night and a warm up by late week
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and chilly! Don't forget a light layer as you head out the door in the morning. Lows fall into the mid-40s.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and beautiful with highs in the lower to mid-70s.
EXTENDED: Winds begin to die down tonight and thanks to clear skies we'll get some nice radiational cooling as lows fall down into the mid-40s. You be time to grab that fall jacket before heading out the door in the morning! Tomorrow afternoon is less windy and slightly warmer as temperatures reach the lower to mid-70s once again. Winds shift to the south-southwest on Friday, pulling in warmer air as highs reach the low 80s for the day. By evening, I'll be tracking a front to our north that will bring more clouds after sunset and perhaps a chance for a few showers north of I-70 after dark. With how dry the mid-levels of the atmosphere are I am not expecting much measurable rain at this point. The front clears to our south early on Saturday, keeping temperatures in the lower 50s in the morning to start out with highs in the upper 70s by afternoon. Sunshine continues Sunday, but upper high pressure really ramps up the southwest winds aloft, pushing temperatures into the upper 80s. We keep this regime into next week with highs approaching 90 on Monday and the upper 80s by Tuesday. We cool a touch by mid-week with a disorganized system trying to move into the area.
