MO Supreme Court rejects application for appeal from Mid-MO killer
ABC 17 News confirmed Wednesday the Missouri Supreme Court has rejected the application for an appeal from Mid-Missouri teen killer Alyssa Bustamante.
The decision came down Tuesday on transferring her case to the state’s high court.
Bustamante was 15 years old when she slashed the throat of 9-year-old Elizabeth Olten in 2009.
She lived near St. Martins, just outside Jefferson City.
Bustamante already pleaded guilty in 2012 to second degree murder and armed criminal action.
She received life in prison plus 30 years for the crime.
