Three people injured in Jefferson City crash

Three people were injured Monday night in a crash in Jefferson City.

It happened after 5 p.m. in the 3400 block of Missouri Boulevard. Police say a car driving in the westbound lanes crashed into the rear of another car. It caused a chain reaction, forcing the second car to crash into a third car.

Two of the drivers were taken to the hospital, a third complained of minor injuries but did not seek treatment.

The road was limited to one lane of traffic for about an hour while crews were on scene.
