Tracking lots of sunshine and low rain chances tomorrow

THIS AFTERNOON: Bright and hot, with highs around 80 degrees and low humidity. The UV Index reaches very high levels this afternoon, with sunburn possible in under half an hour without sunscreen.

TONIGHT: Skies remain clear, allowing temperatures to fall to the upper 50s.

EXTENDED: Thursday is the first chance at a few spot showers and thunderstorms in the west near Hwy 65 in the afternoon, but most will stay dry with highs in the mid-80s. Humidity remains relatively low on Thursday, but south winds on Friday bring more humidity and better rain chances. Scattered thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon and evening on Friday, and rain chances continue through the weekend. Some dry time will be possible, especially on Saturday, but rain chances are likely early next week as well. Rain totals could approach an inch over the weekend, climbing even higher with storms next week.
