Colder Tuesday, warming late-week

Temperatures will feel more like winter the next couple days as northerly winds send colder air in from Monday night through early Wednesday, keeping temperatures in the 30s during the day and 20s at night.

Winds will shift to the southwest Wednesday afternoon, sending warmer temperatures into Mid-Missouri for the end of the week and weekend. After a seasonal day Wednesday, temperatures will jump into the 40s Thursday, 50s Friday and near 60 Saturday, feeling more like late March. However, it is unlikely that we will reach the record high temperature Saturday which is 68 set back in 1890.

Dry weather is expected through Sunday as the main storm track shifts north and westerly winds send mild across the southern half of the country. A developing storm system in the west will drop into the Central Plains Monday. Out ahead of it, a few light showers are possible Sunday night into Monday.
