Tracking an end to the showers

lingering rain
KMIZ

TUESDAY: A few showers will be leftover this morning, but the bulk of the activity is pushing east. Most of the area will be done with the rain by 8-9 AM with an isolated sprinkle here and there for the rest of the morning. The clouds will be stubborn to break up but will finally do so this afternoon. Highs will only make it to 70 this afternoon with a persistent northerly breeze keeping things feeling cool throughout.

TONIGHT: With cooler air in place and mostly clear skies overhead, temperatures will dive tonight. Many of us will bottom out in the upper 40’s.

EXTENDED: The cool weather is here to stay going forward! The breeze will back off tomorrow with highs in the low to mid 70’s both Wednesday and Thursday. We’ll warm up a bit on Friday to near 80 before stepping back a touch on Saturday into the upper 70’s. Highs will bounce back into the low to mid 80’s on Sunday, where they’ll stay for much of next week.
