Tracking a warm weekend with storms possible Sunday

TONIGHT: A front is on its way in to northern parts of the state this evening. It’s expected to lose steam and fizzle as it approaches Mid-Missouri, but one or two showers will be possible if they can hold on long enough north of I-70. Temperatures overnight will cool off into the middle 60’s.

SATURDAY: If you’re heading out early to do some tailgating tomorrow, we’ll have no problems. Highs will work their way toward the upper 80’s once again, so be sure to pack some water!

EXTENDED: A disturbance will move through the area on Sunday, which will bring a chance for some showers and storms by the afternoon. We’ll still manage to get afternoon temperatures into the upper 80’s to close out the weekend. Those showers and storms should favor our southern counties and dissipate after sunset. Monday’s looking warm again with highs close to 90 before a cold front barrels through. That will bring another round of showers and storms late Monday night into Tuesday morning. It’s also bringing some much more pleasant weather for most of next week. Highs will fall into the 70’s Tuesday through Thursday with overnight lows near 50.
