Tracking a warm weekend with an early-week cold front

Today: Temperatures will sit nearly ten degrees above average as we approach 89 for today's high. Winds continue out of the southeast at 5-10 mph with mostly clear skies.

Tonight: Temperatures slowly begin to fall into the mid-'60s with mostly clear skies and winds out of the southeast.

Extended: This weekend, highs will return to the upper '80s once again with mostly clear sky conditons. Monday evening, a cold front moves in from the northwest bringing with it increased chances of showers that will last into the mid-morning hours of Tuesday. Temperatures will drop to highs in the upper '70s bringing central Missouri closer to the average for late September.
