Police investigating possible armed robbery
Columbia police are investigating an attempted armed robbery Sunday morning.
Officials tell ABC 17 they believe three men wearing ski masks – with one carrying a gun – may have tried to rob a home at 3106 Alpine Drive. Police say they believe items were stolen but couldn’t give further details.
A sergeant says the victim of the robbery was the one who called 911. He also said police believe the residence was vacant so they’re working to find out how the victim and the residence are related.
ABC 17 crews on the scene say the building appears to be a large home separated into multiple units.
