Kansas City police board member’s credentials questioned
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A charitable organization says the newest member of the Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners served one year on its board, contrary to an earlier report. KCUR reported this week that tax records did not support Dawn Cramer’s biographical information, which said she served on the boards of the Heartland Foundation and the KC Shepherd’s Center. The Heartland Foundation’s former executive director, Rebecca Gordon Brown, said Cramer was on the organization’s board in 2015. KCUR found no proof she served on the Northland Shepherd’s Center. Cramer on Monday insisted that she served on both boards.
