Frigid start to 2016
Frigid air continues to settle into Mid-Missouri as we head into 2016 but no rain or snow are expected. Temperatures will only reach the lower 30s for daytime highs through New Year’s Day with overnight lows near 20.
If you will be out celebrating New Year’s Eve, plan on cold temperatures, falling to the low 20s by midnight. The light westerly breeze will make it feel like the low to mid teens with wind chills near 14 at midnight.
Dry weather continues through the weekend with seasonal temperatures, reaching near 40 and falling into the lower 20s at night. The west to northwesterly breeze will give us wind chills in the teens at night and lower 30s during the day both Saturday and Sunday.
