Light snow possible Wednesday morning

A quick wave of low pressure will move over Mid-Missouri late Tuesday night into Wednesday, bringing a slight chance for accumulating snow for parts of the area through mid-Wednesday morning.

Light snow will begin in far northwest Missouri by 3 a.m., spreading west by 5-6 a.m. into Mid-Missouri.

The newest forecast models are bringing a little more moisture into the region Wednesday morning, meaning forecast snow totals will be slightly higher, with up to 1″ possible in Chariton, Randolph, Macon, and Saline counties through 7-8 a.m.

A dusting to 0.5″ is possible along and west of Highway 63 through 8-9 a.m.

Light snow exits our northeastern counties by 10 a.m., leaving us with partly to mostly cloudy skies during the day.

The Highway 54 and I-44 corridors are expected to be mainly dry, but temperatures will remain at or below the freezing mark through Wednesday.
