Man arrested for domestic incident in mid-December

Columbia police have arrested a man for a domestic incident that happened earlier this month. Anthony Johnson-Harris was arrested Sunday on Santiago Drive.

Police first learned about the incident in which Johnson-Harris was involved on December 20, when someone came to the department to report it. The incident happened December 13, when Johnson-Harris and a former girlfriend were talking in a car.

At one point, Johnson-Harris started driving around, and according to police, wouldn’t let the 22-year-old woman out despite her requests to be taken home. Johnson-Harris also allegedly showed her a gun and threatened her. Eventually he took the victim home, but she claims he later sent her text messages threatening her and her family.

Johnson-Harris, 25, was booked into jail on suspicion of felonious restraint, unlawful possession of a firearm (Johnson-Harris is a convicted felon), domestic assault, and harassment.
