One for One Holiday Food Drive taking donations in Columbia

The annual One for One Holiday Food Drive is officially underway in Columbia.

Donations can be dropped off at the corner of Providence and Broadway as well as the Capital Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City.

The food drive began at 6 a.m. and will end at 6 p.m. tonight. They are asking people to bring just one can of food or one dollar for every member of your family, including pets.

There are more than 120,000 people living at or below the poverty line in the area the food bank serves.

One dollar can buy up to 15 pounds of food.
