Lincoln University oks construction company for city rec center
Lincoln University just finalized a deal with a construction company to start work on the new multi-purpose rec center for Jefferson City.
The new 80,000 square-feet building is a joint effort between the city and the college. It will be built near the high school and most of the work should be done by late January, 2017.
University leaders claim Sircal Contracting had the lowest bid, at roughly $11,500.
The facility will have basketball and volleyball courts, plus an elevated track, classrooms and fitness areas.
