Auxvasse man arrested after MUSTANG drug task force investigation

A man is facing several drug-related charges Friday morning after he was arrested Wednesday.

Deputies with the Callaway County Sheriff’s deputies and the MUSTANG drug task force arrested 52-year-old Billy Owen of Auxvasse Wednesday at 4:04 p.m.

They were serving a search warrant in the 200 block of Peach Tree Drive. Officials tell us they found 22 pounds of marijuana, $35,000 dollars, several firearms, and other items related to drug sales at the residence.

Owen is facing charges of two felonies, distribution of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of firearms.

His bond was set at $50,000. Owen posted that bond on Thursday.

The Callaway County investigation is ongoing and Owen could receive more charges.
