Holts Summit man accused of child sex crimes

A Holts Summit man was arrested Monday morning for charges relating to sexual abuse between 2010 and 2012.

Court documents said Holts Summit Police overheard a 9-year-old victim say she “had a baby in her belly,” and “the baby in her belly was not coming out.”

Investigators talked to the victim’s grandmother, who said the child told her that 31-year-old Jonathan Hannon forced her into sexual contact with him.

Last month, investigators interviewed the victim, who said she would wake up and Hannon would be touching her private areas. She also told investigators he made her “do stuff a wife would do.”

During an interview with investigators, the child drew a vulgar picture describing the alleged abuse by Hannon.

Hannon was interviewed by Holts Summit Police Monday, and admitted to the abuse, but said it happened once or twice.

Hannon is charged with statutory sodomy, attempted statutory sodomy, and child molestation.
