Mom pleads guilty in daughter’s deadly overdose

Sentencing is now set in February for a mid-Missouri mother charged for the death of her daughter, who overdosed on prescription drugs Christmas Eve.

Starletta Blevins-Moore just pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Her 16-year-old was found dead last year in Maries County near Dixon, about an hour east of Osage Beach.

Moore also had another teenage daughter who died from an overdose more than 10 years before that in 2003.

Moore had a total of 10 children. When she was arrested back in early February, sheriff’s investigators say they found rotten food, loaded guns and porn within the reach of young children. A 10-year-old girl was removed from the home.
