Troopers release name of victim in I-70 crash
The Missouri Highway Patrol confirms Stacey McCrary of Columbia died in a car crash Thursday night on I-70, just west of the Stadium exit.
Troopers said the crash happened around 7:35 p.m. Thursday. The patrol says McCrary was trying to pass a semi in the left lane, when his SUV clipped the front of the truck. His SUV went off the side of the road and overturned through the median, landing upside down in the opposite eastbound lanes.
The crash stopped traffic near Sorrel’s overpass at the 122 mile marker.
