MU announces new office for civil rights and Title IX

Officials at the University of Missouri Wednesday announced the creation of a new office for Civil Rights and Title IX.

The new office will centralize reports and investigations of discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender, etc.

The new Office for Civil Rights and Title IX will conduct investigations involving any form of discrimination, and will handle any investigations that were previously conducted by Human Resources, the Equity Office, and the Office of Student Conduct.

The new office will report directly to the MU provost and executive vice chancellor.
