Three arrested for stealing farm equipment in Callaway Co.

Three people were arrested over the past week for allegedly stealing farm equipment in rural Callaway County near Hatton.

The equipment was later found in western Audrain County with the help of the Audrain Co. Sheriff’s Office.

30-year-old Darrell Newell of Mexico, 25-year-old Jonathan Newell of Auxvasse, and 26-year-old Damin Davis were arrested for stealing.

Davis was previously under supervision by probation and parole for an assault offense.

The Callaway Co. Sheriff’s Dept. said further charges are possible in both Audrain and Callaway counties.
