Mild weekend, rain moves in Sunday night

As high pressure moves east this weekend, winds will shift to the southwest sending mild air into Mid-Missouri. After a cold morning, temperatures will reach the mid 60s Saturday afternoon under sunny skies.

Sunday will start with low temperatures in the lower 40s and climb to the low 60s in the afternoon. Clouds will increase as a series of upper level disturbances move in, bringing moisture from the southwest. The air will gradually become saturated Sunday night and rain will develop as early as 10pm near the Lake of the Ozarks, spreading north through early Monday morning.

Rain will taper off Monday afternoon as the upper wave moves east but returns after 10pm Monday night ahead of the next disturbance. Rain increases through early Tuesday then shifts east slowly east through the afternoon with pockets of heavy rain expected. Rain ends Tuesday evening but showers are still possible Wednesday and Thursday as lower pressure moves through.
