CPS to discuss bond issue and tax levy

The Columbia School Board is meeting Monday night to discuss a proposed bond issue and tax levy.

ABC 17 News learned the money from the $30 million bond issue will go toward middle school land and design, elementary expansion, and facility needs.

The board is also considering a 65 cent tax levy increase.

It would fund new buildings, student support, and employee recruitment and retention.

Both the bond issue and tax levy could be on the ballot next April.
