Crews called to garage fire west of Columbia

Boone County firefighters were called to the scene of a garage that burned down early Friday about 15 west of Columbia.

Nearly 10 units responded to Route O, just past the Midway exit south of I-70 around 2:15 a.m. Friday.

ABC 17 News confirmed there was extensive damage to the garage and shop. Early costs are estimated at close to $100,000.

Crews did not have an exact cause for the fire.
