UPDATE: Amber Alert subjects found in Nashville, abduction “unfounded”

St. Louis County police say the two subjects of an Amber Alert are safe in Nashville Thursday night.

A media advisory sent from the department said officers worked with the FBI and the Nashville Police Department in finding 1-year-old Dyland Rosa and his mother, 23-year-old Diana Berrios-Pimentel. Investigators found two family friends with them in their tan-colored Honda Accord. According to the release, Berrios-Pimentel told police she sent “ruse” text messages about the situation so she could leave town “without family intervention.

“After reviewing the circumstances surrounding the case, no charges are likely, and the abduction will be classified as unfounded,” the release said.

St. Louis County Police issued the alert for a child abduction at 10029 Cloverdale Drive at around 11:30 Thursday morning. Rosa, a Hispanic boy, and his mother were reported taken from the home.

Rosa has brown hair and brown eyes, and his clothing is unknown.

Berrios-Pimentel is 5’1″, 85 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes, and her clothing is unknown.
