Tracking a hot weekend and chances of storms starting Sunday

Tonight: Southwesterly flowing winds at 5-10 MPH lead to a warmer night in Central Missouri with a low of 74 degrees. Skies will be mostly clear as a high-pressure system parked overhead keeps our atmosphere dry.

Tomorrow: Winds continue to flow out of the south, while a low-pressure system slides into the area allowing afternoon and evening scattered showers and storms. The greatest threat for these storms will be some possible strong downpours. The high for Sunday tops out at 92 putting us six degrees above the average for Central Missouri

Extended: Chances of showers and storms increase on Monday as the low-pressure system is squarely parked overhead leading to greater chances of showers and storms. These storms will last until Tuesday afternoon when our next high-pressure system slides in from our west. From Wednesday through Saturday we will dry conditions as highs ride into the upper '80s once again.
