Fire destroys home in Boone County
The Boone County Protection District responded to a home in the 1400 Block of Purdy Lane around 5:00 p.m. Sunday for a structure fire.
At least 15 units responded to the address. Firefighters said they saw large clouds of black smoke when they arrived.
Around 8:00 p.m., firefighters were still on scene working to put out the house fire.
The home is a total loss, according to firefighters on scene.
Officials are still working to determine the cause. No one was hurt.
Parts of Mid-Missouri are under a fir weather watch Monday for dry conditions. Officials said outdoor burning is highly discouraged.
