Update: Body found floating in the Lake of the Ozarks identified

A man’s body was found floating in the Lake of the Ozarks Friday afternoon was identified Monday.

Corporal Scott White with the Missouri State Highway Patrol said a resident called to report the body at around 12:30 p.m. in the Gravois arm of the lake near the 2 mile marker.

Highway Patrol troopers recovered the body shortly after.

On Monday, troopers identified the man as 54-year-old Mark Hoogeveen of Gravois Mills.

White said there is no indication of foul play at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
