Morning News Anchor-Reporter

JOB DESCRIPTION: The duties for this position primarily include anchoring two daily newscasts. Daily work includes anchoring, writing and copyediting. Employee will be called upon to do producing, live reporting, enterprise and investigative reporting along with web reporting as well. Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS: The right candidate must be an effective communicator, strong writer, enterprising reporter and have a professional on-camera appearance. In today’s multi-media newsroom, the successful candidate will have the skills to do a wide variety of tasks and a willingness to take on different responsibilities as needed.

HOURS/SCHEDULE: This is a full-time position, scheduled Monday through Friday, 1:30am – 10:30am with flexibility required by the employee.

EDUCATION: A bachelor degree in journalism, communication or a related field is preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The position will require operation of a company vehicle or a personal vehicle for business use. Candidate must pass a drug test, background check, and MVR check.
