Job Description:
The successful candidate’s duties will include gathering information, writing, shooting, cultivating sources and editing stories from around Mid-Missouri for morning newscasts, station’s website and other digital platforms. Duties will also include anchoring the noon daily newscast, which includes anchoring, writing, copyediting and otherwise assisting the producer of the newscast.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have the ability to effectively communicate with the public and internally. They must have strong writing and organizational skills, videography and video editing skills and a professional on-camera presence. Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication or related field is preferred. Previous newsroom experience is a plus. Candidate must have a valid Missouri driver’s license and pass a drug test and background check.
