Drug take-back events successful in Mid-Missouri

Multiple drug take-back events were held across Mid-Missouri over the weekend to coincide the National Drug Take Back event.

The latest event in Boone County brought in almost 650 pounds of unwanted or expired medication.

There were 8 locations in 2 days. Hickman High School had the largest collection, with more than 270 pounds.

The city’s permanent bin was removed this summer from the police department lobby, citing new regulations from the EPA.
