Moberly man charged after several burglaries

Moberly police arrested a man after several burglaries Saturday night.

Dillon Gilliam, 25, of Moberly is now charged with felony burglary and resisting arrest.

Officers responded to a report of a person stealing from a garage near South Clark and Mackenzie, Moberly police said. Shortly after, officers found a nearby home’s front door open and the inside appeared to have been burglarized.

A resident also reported seeing the same man steal from another garage on South Williams Street.

When officers arrived, Gilliam ran from the home. Officers arrested him around 7:30 p.m. after a short chase.
