Weekend clouds, slightly cooler temperatures

An area of low pressure is drifting in from the east, bringing clouds to Mid-Missouri for the weekend. Saturday will start with mostly sunny skies but end mostly cloudy. High temperatures will reach the upper 70s east of HWY 63 and near 80 west Saturday with northeasterly winds up to 12 mph.

The clouds will thicken through early Sunday with an isolated shower or some sprinkles possible Sunday afternoon, mainly near I-44 and east of HWY 63. If rain does materialize, it won’t last long and amounts will be low. The clouds will keep our temperatures in the upper 70s Sunday afternoon.

The clouds are expected to decrease Sunday evening, giving us pockets of clear sky to view the total lunar eclipse which occurs from 8:07 to 11: 27. Read about the eclipse here.
