Columbia School Board discusses progress on communication tower

The Columbia School Board met Thursday morning in a special meeting to discuss several agenda items.

The board voted to allow Boone Electric Cooperative to move electric lines to prepare for the communications tower at Battle High School.

Boone County Commission officials have predicted the tower should be finished in about 60-90 days.

Board members also debated with students about the benefits and problems of weighing grades for advanced placement classes.
