Police find two suspects accused of child abuse
The search is over for a Mid-Missouri couple accused of child abuse.
Columbia police were asking for help to find Trevor Bruce, 28, and Kattie Palen, 26. Both had warrants out for their arrest for child abuse.
Palen turned herself in to the Randolph County Jail last Friday night, according to Columbia police.Bruce was arrested Thursday evening. He was located inside a Moberly home where he was taken into custody.
Bruce is now also charged with resisting arrest and assaulting an officer. He is currently in the Randolph County Jail.
ABC 17 News obtained court documents that show a child was taken to the hospital in January and doctors were suspicious of his injuries.
Palen and Bruce said the child fell off a couch a few days before. They’re both now charged with child abuse.
