Mid-Missouri chase suspects arrested for heroin

Two men were arrested for heroin in Callaway County Sunday after a police chase that started in Jefferson City and ended with a crash near Kingdom City.

Joseph Paul, 22, of Jefferson City, and Antonio Green, 18, of St. Louis, were both taken into custody for drugs. Officials claim the pursuit started around 8:30 p.m. on Highway 54 in Jefferson City.

As it got closer to Fulton, deputies blocked traffic in the westbound lanes because the suspects were driving on the wrong side of the highway.

Right before the barricade, the car veered back onto the eastbound side, avoiding spike strips. After reaching I-70, the driver lost control and crashed near mile marker 150, a few miles east of Kingdom City.

Jefferson City and Holts Summit police, the Missouri Highway Patrol and Callaway County sheriff’s deputies were involved.
